what is refined peanut oil?

Peanut oil refined is also the most important part of the peanut oil production process. After refining, the peanut oil color is bright and clean. Not only free of impurities in crude oil, but also has high practical value and is easy to preserve. More importantly, nutrients such as vitamin E in peanut oil are retained.

The peanut oil refining process includes acidification reaction process, neutralization process, peanut oil refining equipment cleaning process, vacuum drying section, bleaching process, filtration stage, deodorization  process. Next, Benteng Machinery will introduce detailed these processes.

How is peanut oil refined?

1. The acidification reaction process

The temperature of the oil can be altered through a screw plate exchanger.When the temperature is raised to approximately 80 degrees Celsius mixing around 85 percent food grade acid reaction tank to react. In the tank, the majority of non-hydrated phospholipids transfer to the hydrated the phospholipid.


2. The neutralization process

The neutral portion, the degummed oil is poured with the appropriate temperature and proper amount of alkali liquor are put into the neutralization centrifugal mixer for mixing, to maximize the effects of the mix with the right amount of alkali, then transferred to a neutralization tank for a sufficient amount of time. In this process the excessive neutralization of alkali occurs. free fatty acids as well as some soapstock phosphates following the pumping of soap and oil mixture in heater oil, heating to 85-90 degc in centrifuge separation of oil soap or oil-glue.


3. Process of washing peanut oil refinery equipment

Separator’s neutral oil is still containing about 500ppm soap to decrease the soap’s residual content oil, it is joined by approximately 10% hot water. It is washed by the mixer for washing, hot water is able to remove soap oil and other impurities. They are then disposed of inside the separator, water and impurities they are separated.


4. Vacuum drying section

Washing and neutralization oils separated from the separator for washing is still contaminated with water that can be detrimental to oil stability. In order to remove this water, the washing fluid is later sent to a vacuum dryer for drying when temperatures are still approximately 110-120 degrees Celsius. After drying, the oil is then sent directly to the bleaching department.

5. Bleaching process

The principal purpose behind this process is to eliminate the pigments and soup within the neutralization oil that is used in crude oils. The oil is then sent to a the bleaching chamber after it has been it has been heated to 105 degrees. After the oil is delivered to the tower, it’s blended by the ratio mixer using carclazyte. The dosing process was controlled by a programmer controller, and the dosing device is mounted directly on the ratio mixer.

The power of the conveyor system for carclazyte is wind, and the bleaching earth was pumped into the carclazyte temporary storage tank situated in the upper portion of the tower for bleaching in order to serve as the mixer for the ratio.


6. Filtration stage

Miscella that is mixed with clay and oil from decolorization towers is transported to the bleaching tower before it is filtered through a fine filter, where clay and impurities that are fixed are eliminated. The filtering substance( acidified oil) is transferred to the storage tank that holds bleached oil. There are two bleaching filter in this system. One of which remains in the stage of filtering. The other is in the process of emptying and cleaning.


7. Deodorization  process

Deodorization is a process that aims to remove the FFA and low molecular compounds , and other present in bleached oil. Bleaching oils that enters the deodorization process can be controlled through a flow control and then it is then heated to a deodorization temperature between 250 and 260 degrees C by a series of heat exchangers.

The above is the entire process of peanut oil refined and peanut oil refining equipment. Although the refining process is complicated, its rewards are also great. The refined peanut oil can be sold directly, which is a long-term benefit.
