Because tea seed oil has more benefits for human health than other oils, so more and more people choose it.  Hot press vs cold press, which is suitable for tea seed oil? what is the difference between them? How to cold press oil? Regarding these questions, Benteng Machinery will answer them one by one for you.

The difference between cold pressing and hot pressing.

1. Pressing process. The meaning of cold pressed oil is edible vegetable oil produced by low-temperature pressing (40-60°C) of oil crops. Hot-pressed oil is a finished oil formed by physical pressing after frying and roasting oil plants at high temperature (120-130°C). For tea seed oil, it is more suitable for the cold pressing process, which can completely retain the nutrients and active ingredients of  tea seed oil, and the original color and fragrance.

2. Oil yield. Due to the different pressing process, the oil yield of the same oil crop may also be different. Hot pressing has a higher oil yield than cold pressing, because the hot pressing method uses the oil crops to be fried and crushed before pressing. This will cause a series of changes inside the oil plant, destroy the oil plant cells, promote protein denaturation, reduce oil viscosity, etc., so the oil yield will be higher. Because the oil yield of cold pressing method is lower than that of hot pressing method, the price of most cold pressed oil is also higher than that of hot pressed oil

3. Cost price. The cost of cold pressing is high, and the price is more expensive, while hot pressing is the second, and leaching is cheaper. Therefore, when choosing tea seed oil, everyone should pay attention to the “production process” on the packaging, and choose “low temperature pressed”, which will be more nutritious and healthier.

4. Colours. The color of cold pressed oil is clear and the taste is relatively light. The natural flavor and color of the oil are preserved, and the original taste of cold press oil is a choice for a healthy life. Hot-pressed oil has a richer aroma and more flavor. The crude oil has a darker color and higher acid value, so the crude oil must be refined before it can be eaten.
